Cowick Hall - Pike Studio - Masterplanning and Landscape Architecture

Cowick Hall

Located in East Yorkshire, Cowick Hall is a large country house and estate and is the headquarters for CRODA International. The ambition is to create a masterplan for the 120 acre site that benefits the workers and local communities wellbeing and access to nature, whilst responding to the site’s multi-layered history.

The grand country house is a Grade I listed building of national significance - with drastic alterations completed by the famous architect James Paine in the 17th century (before going on to Chatsworth House). Pike Studio have responded to not just the site’s rich heritage, but also CRODA who were founded in Yorkshire. We are working to create multiple different spaces across the site from large public garden spaces to private wellbeing and kitchen gardens for staff members.
